Fashion’s Night Out
Thursday (9/6) — Now in its fourth year, the Vogue-led celebration of fall shopping in Seattle has installments all over our fair city and the Eastside, so much so in fact, it’s nigh impossible to hit everything. 14/48 Theater Festival
Opens Friday (9/7-9/8) — Seattle’s “quickest” theater festival is moving its operation outdoor, under the stars for the first time, in conjunction with Seattle Center’s Next 50 celebration. Settle in at the theater commons outside the Seattle Rep and watch seven 10-minute plays written and produced by a gaggle of willing (and some say crazy) theater artists in 48 hours or less. The second night, they start all over again, from scratch.

MUST WALK
NEPO 5K Don’t Run
Saturday (9/8) — Put on your walking shoes: Seattle’s most epic art walk boasts an easier, downhill route this year and even more art, co-curated by Zack Bent and Sierra Stinson. Starting in Beacon Hill, participants will wend their way through copious performances and installations by local artists which continue all the way to Kobe Terrace park in the ID.
The route begins at NEPO House (1723 S Lander St.) and moves steadily north (and downhill) to culminate at Kobe Terrace park in the International District, where walkers are rewarded for their dedication with food trucks and music. 9/8. Registration at NEPO House: 2:30 p.m. Art walk: 4–7 p.m. Finish-line celebration: 7–10 p.m. at Kobe Terrace. $5 suggested donation. nepohouse.org. Greg Atkinson Demo at Book Larder
Monday (9/10) — Greg Atkinson, chef of Restaurant Marche (which our dining editor raved over), will give a special demo at The Book Larder to help raise funds for Washington Tilth Producers. After tasting the organic veggies, grilled wild salmon and summer berries samples he dishes up, you can search for additional delicious recipes among the countless expert guides stocked at this cozy cookbooks-only store in Fremont.
