To the spastic delight of countless crazed Palahniuk fans, the Portland-based author of the award-winning Fight Club is finally releasing a “director’s cut” of his popular 1999 novel, Invisible Monsters, about a model whose face is ruined in an accident (and her subsequent rollicking quest for revenge). Called Invisible Monsters Remix, it’s a hardcover version of the original (which was only released in paperback) that includes new chapters and helter-skelter jumps between them that make this dark satire of beauty and fashion even more fun to read than the first time around.
