Dance Theatre of Harlem

Formed in 1969, Dance Theatre of Harlem was the first large-scale ballet company to focus almost exclusively on African-American dancers. This two-night Seattle stand includes a world premiere by acclaimed Canadian choreographer John Alleyne (“Far But Close”) and a piece by Seattle’s own Donald Byrd, director of Spectrum Dance Theater.
