Douglas Paasch Puppet Playhouse

Seattle has a weirdly thriving adult-oriented puppet scene—could it be because the onestep-removed nature of puppets jives with the notorious “Seattle freeze”? We may never know,
but meanwhile we should revel in the puppet bounty, such as this show honoring one of the city’s
preeminent puppeteers, Douglas Paasch, who died in 2008. Expect to see the area’s prominent
puppeteers—including Kyle Loven—perform works (for grown-ups) that are dark, devilish and daring.
