Les Miserables

Panned by 19th-century French critics (but embraced by the populace), Victor Hugo’s 1862 novel Les Miserables ended up serving as the source material for one of the longest-running musicals in the world. Thanks to blockbuster sales at last summer’s 5th Avenue Theatre engagement, Jean Valjean, Fantine, Cosette and le gang are back for a return engagement and repeat run at revolution.
