The unfortunate thing about Momix is that it bills itself as a company of “dancer-illusionists.” Fortunately, the dance illusions are actually pretty fun to watch. The Connecticut-based group’s stage shows feature outlandish props, projections, puppets and costumes that assist the dancer-illusionists in achieving spectacular feats of trompe l’oeil. For this show, Botanica, they’ll replicate blooming flowers, flitting bugs, centaurs and other wonders. Appropriate for ages 7 and older, but keep in mind: Those dancer-illusionist costumes leave little to the imagination.
