Northwest Home / AIA Seattle - September Open House Tour
Designed by island architect Julie Kriegh, our September open house's waterfacing backside enjoys a grander effect, but it also has an old-cabin-in-the-woods aspect. The bucolic Bainbridge retreat features reverie-inducing landscaping, complete with a footbridge fitted with an artisan railing and a garden-and-patio graced courtyard leading to the front door. This home also features a home theater with a colorful, custom marquee, a view-rich great room with an acoustically engineered warm wood ceiling of Alaska yellow cedar, bamboo floors, chandeliers fashioned of hand-made paper embedded with ginko leaves, an appealingly petite gallery and a book display room that can double as a stage.
Check out the home on Bainbridge Island on Sunday, September 25, between noon and 3 p.m.
12:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. FREE. 15710 Euclid Ave. NE. Bainbridge Island.seattlemag.com
