Entry Category: Student Designer, studying at New York Fashion Academy

Designer Name: Carolyn Darimont

Line: Anna Ciata Apparel

Branding Statement/ Bio Info:

Anna Ciata is a line of playful sportswear designed by Carolyn Darimont for the active woman who loves comfort and style. The Seattle Washington based label produces primarily knit apparel including dresses, tops, pants and shorts. Classic silhouettes in a modern color palette are marketed toward women in their 20s, 30s and 40s. Some pieces have been hand dyed creating a colorful personality that is one of a kind. Fabrication is important to the Anna Ciata customer. She seeks clothing made from natural fibers for their ability to breathe and the way they feel next to her skin. Use of cotton, soy, and wool blended with a small amount of spandex for shape retention give garments superior comfort and durability. Anna Ciata is versatility and style, youth and sophistication, vibrant color with a flirtatious edge.

Price Point: Tops $58-$128, shorts $158, pants $218, and dresses $248-$458. This pricing strategy is comparable to contemporary and bridge pricing.

Desired Vendors: Nordstrom, local Seattle boutiques Ketch, and Sway & Cake
