It only makes sense that Dave Meinert and Jason Lajeunesse, two Seattle nightlife titans, got the lease for the notorious former locale of Basic Plumbing (a seedy men’s club of a sort) on the corner of 10th and Pike Streets. The two helped build the neighborhood’s music and nightlife scenes (Lajeunesse is part-owner of Neumos, Meinert’s management company oversees the Blue Scholars and Hey Marseilles, the two men are partners in the Capitol Hill Block Party). Now, they’ll feed the late-night revelers at the Lost Lake Café & Lounge, a diner and bar that’ll stay open 24hours a day. Expect chicken fried steak, omelets, burgers, sandwiches and the like, a full bar and a mid-century modern look when the place opens this month.
