Philosophy: Rachel Kim doesn’t believe in business casual. The 26-year-old Bellevue retailer, who retooled her fashion blog Vue Society (vuesociety.com) into a high-end online shop in 2011, takes designer office wear—clean black blazers, Marc Jacobs power heels and Fendi bags—to the edge of urban sass with chunky “Avatar-esque” necklaces, fur stoles and cut-out shirts. “I like a clean, minimalistic look,” she says, “but my accessories are then almost gaudy to spice it up.”
Dream Christmas gift: “A frothy Marchesa dress. Every girl needs a princess dress in her closet, just in case.”
Pet peeve: “When people don’t adjust their style to the season. No one needs to see your toes peeking out in winter.”
Favorite trend: “Neon! It pairs well with my go-to black and is packed with personality.”
Shopping stops: Often sporting edgy designers such as Stylestalker and Blaque Label from her store, Kim also stalks the online shops at Zara (zara.com) and Asos (us.asos.com), as well as the designer sections at Nordstrom Rack.
