James Weimann and Deming Maclise have proven their design prowess again and again, first in French at Ballard’s Bastille, and since then, at Poquitos, Macleod’s and Von Trapp’s. With Stoneburner (Ballard, 5214 Ballard Ave. NW; 206.695.2051; stoneburnerseattle.com), the guys have done it one more time, this time in a sophisticated, masculine manner, mixing found pieces with rich woodwork and luxe material: roomy, custom-made black leather bucket chairs and 1960s Italian fixtures; vintage 1920s swivel stools at the kitchen bar; and garden gates from a New York salvage yard that greet diners at the entry.
