!–paging_filter–pThis summer,a href=”http://nakedcitybrewing.com/” target=”_blank” Naked City Brewery/a in Greenwood decided to take advantage of our (hopefully soon) clear skies and a neighboring empty lot and create an outdoor oasis for the whole family. The Walrus Beer Garden, named in honor of The Walrus blues tavern, which was victim to arson some 30 years ago and once stood in the space where the new outdoor brew-drinking spot is located, is serving up a number of thirst-quenching craft beers, such as the Port Townsend Hop Diggidy in addition to Naked City’s full food and drink menu./p
pIn the garden, you’ll find towering murals—two dapper walruses raising their mugs by local artist Ryan Henry Ward and a phoenix rising from the ashes, recycled from the Taproot Theatre—that create the backdrop to your summer drinking experience. Side note: Don’t worry about whether or not to bring the underaged family members—The Walrus has tasty root beer on draft and fun games to play such as washers (think a brewer’s version of cornhole, the bean bag tossing lawn game, except it uses—wait for it—washers)./p
