Hunger Mediterranean Restaurant Opens in Fremont

Hunger opened in Fremont’s old Persimmon space July 21st

Bye-bye, Persimmon; hello, Hunger. On July 21, Hunger joined other recently added Mediterranean-inspired restaurants to the Seattle scene (Cicchetti, Bisato, re-opened Phoenicia, Terra Plata) and followed the small plate trend (though they also serve entrees) and communal seating we’re seeing all over.

Prepared by Jaime Mullins (formerly of Anadaluca, the Pink Door and Zoe), the pan-Medi menu is heavy on the Spanish influence but also currently rocks Portuguese, Tunisian and French. Uncommon menu items include wild boar osso bucco, paella for up to 14 people, and harissa smoked lamb. Happy hour looks very happy with $5 small plates, house-made sangria and cucumber martinis.
