The site is focused on beautiful artisan-made items by US-based designers, including a href=”http://www.mooreaseal.com/collections/moorea-seal” target=”_blank”Seal’s jewelry line/a, a href=”http://www.mooreaseal.com/collections/balue-co” target=”_blank”Balue/Co/a (another emSeattle/em mag a href=”http://\/\/seattlemag.com/article/notecards-balueco“fave/a), awesome bags from a href=”http://www.mooreaseal.com/collections/pine-boon” target=”_blank”Pine + Boon/a (another local talent), as well as beautiful pieces by *a href=”http://www.mooreaseal.com/collections/evidence-jewelry” target=”_blank”Evidence Jewelry/a and a href=”http://www.mooreaseal.com/collections/mineralogy” target=”_blank”Mineralogy/a (seen in the photo above). Seven percent of all the proceeds benefit local nonprofits, designated into five cause categories, Caring for Animals, Health + Wellness, Children’s Needs, Women’s Causes and Protecting Our Planet, an element of the shop that Seal calls “essential.” Each designer on the site has chosen to partner with a category that they care about and shoppers have the option to shop by cause, which empowers them as consumers./p
pInteresting to note about Seal: she has a mega-huge online following. “I have over 3,000 followers of my a href=”http://www.moorea-seal.com/” target=”_blank”personal blog/a and over 850,000 followers on a href=”http://pinterest.com/mooreaseal/” target=”_blank”Pinterest/a,” she says. “I’ve been ranked in the top 200 pinners out of millions of people, since Pinterest launched a few years ago. I was even picked by Pinterest to be featured in 2012’s Christmas campaign 30 Days of Pinspiration along side Anthropologie, Refinery 29 and Nina Garcia!”/p
pOur picks from the shop include a href=”http://www.mooreaseal.com/collections/just-in/products/leatherblocked-cr…” target=”_blank”this/a leather blocked cross body bag from Rouge Whimsy (another rad Seattle designer);nbsp;a href=”http://www.mooreaseal.com/collections/just-in/products/sorbet-scarf” target=”_blank”this/a pretty in pink sorbet scarf from Karu; a href=”http://www.mooreaseal.com/collections/earrings-1/products/free-mason-ear…” target=”_blank”Free Mason earrings from Shadow House/a (huge and distinctive); and Seal’s delicate a href=”http://www.mooreaseal.com/collections/moorea-seal/products/pyrite-drop-n…” target=”_blank”pyrite drop necklace/a. But it’s all awesome./p
