Local musician John Roderick of The Long Winters has teamed up with Jonathan Coulton to release an original album of Christmas songs (and one Chanukah song), titled One Christmas at a Time. Roderick explains the inspiration for the album (and the likelihood of his becoming Mayor of Seattle) in this interview with the Dallas Observer. He's on tour with Coulton, promoting the Christmas album through December (sorry, no Seattle dates listed currently that I can see).
You can preview the songs via the video below, or just go ahead and buy the album download here for $10.
It would make a fun soundtrack for your white elephant party, or a great gift for the unsuspecting music lover on your list. Nobody expects to get a Christmas album they like.
If you don't already, follow John Roderick on Twitter. His Tweets will make your day.
