Preview: Bellevue Fashion Week
Armed with stilettos, writing pad and phone, assistant editor Kate Calamusa takes on Fashion Week

I feel like a kid on Christmas morning, bouncing around the house, yelling, “It’s here! It’s here!”
But instead of a jolly red-suited man bringing me toys, The Bellevue Collection has given me a big, giant fashion-forward present wrapped in shiny design gazing and glitzy documentary watching: Bellevue Fashion Week.
And as if runway hopping weren’t enough, this year I think it’s safe to say that Fashion Week has upped the anty: powerhouse magazine Vogue is partnering with the Collection to produce what I’m sure will be an impeccably executed fall fashion show on Saturday evening. Other highlights include: the Nordstrom Fall Fashion Show, a runway show by David Lawrence showcasing Italian designer fashions and tomorrow’s screening of RJ Cutler’s documentary, The September Issue, which follows the staffers of Vogue as they work on the annual fall behemoth.

Wednesday, 9/30: Hey, we have a September issue too (get it on stands through this week.) At Seattle magazine, May and June are spent pulling clothes, handbags, coats and shoes from our favorite designers in anticipation of our shopping issue; I admit I am insanely curious the creative process (and maybe some drama) over at Vogue with their 800 plus page book. I’ll be giving you a little sneak peak into what goes into a fashion spread as well as how we stack up against Vogue.
Saturday, 10/3 @ 6 p.m.: Follow @kcalamusa for living Tweeting during the Front Row Fashion Vogue show on Saturday, October 3. (Anna Wintour sighting? The best looks both in the crowd and on stage?)
