July 4 Cake Pops
If you’ve read any culinary magazine or watched any cooking show in the last few months, you’ll know that cake pops (shown above) are all the rage when it comes to innovative desserts. Patriotic cake pops are actually simple to make and we love these because the possibilities for patriotic design for these morsels are infinite. Mix red, white and blue icing with various patriotic sprinkles and decorations. Check out My Juice Cup blog for the low-down on these sweet treats.

Flag Pretzels
Candy-dipped pretzels are a sure-fire way to get the party in the patriotic mood. We love these pretzels because not only are they festive, but they are both salty and sweet at the same time, satisfying even the pickest of palates. You can serve them as a snack or dessert. Thanks to Poca Cosa for giving us the heads up about these awesome treats.

Independence Punch
Chances are your Independence Day is going to be sizzling hot so you’ll want to serve your guests a thirst-quenching drink. Say hello to Independence Punch, which uses cranberry juice, your favorite blue-colored sports drink, sparkling water (or a diet clear soda), and ice. Take a cue from Big Bear’s Wife (Big Bear is one lucky dude) and serve up some independence punch (psst…for the grown ups we suggest offering up adult only juice to add to the punch).
