I have two working tag lines, “Go ahead, show ‘em what you’re made of.” and “Discover what you’re made of.”
Women everywhere want to dress and express themselves in an original way, yet they also know that fashion doesn’t exactly reinvent the wheel each season. Trends are tweaked and altered sure, but essentially just recycled, and not to mention most of it mass-produced. With ingredients, customers will have the satisfaction of knowing that the garment they have is one of very few, if not one-of-a-kind. My target market is late teens to twenties, an age group synonymous with experimenting in fashion. Mixing basics with fun details and patterns, ingredients clothing can either be dressed up or down, really allowing customers to make the outfits their own. I believe my brand would meet the needs of my customers by making them feel how every young woman wants to feel: fashionable, comfortable, and unique.
When I picture my garments hanging next to more well-known lines or stores, the aesthetics and feel of Urban Outfitters, H&M, and Free People come to mind. My price point would range anywhere from $80-$200, depending on the garment and how unique it was.
