Local choreographer and 2008 Seattle magazine Spotlight award winner Zoe Scofield has never shied away from getting ugly. Though trained as a ballerina, her own work—made in collaboration with visual artist Juniper Shuey—often emphasizes physical awkwardness and the beauty that can be found therein. This new work explores the concept of justice via Greek tragedy, elaborate costuming and Scofield’s haunting dance.
