Finally—it’s outdoor movie time in Seattle! This month we’ll all be lugging blankets and chairs (extremely low chairs, please!) to our favorite al fresco screens around town. Many of the series offer free viewing and costume contests, and all promise a summer vibe that can’t be beat. A few temptations: Movies at Magnuson Park will screen Ferris Bueller’s Day Off (7/12), Three Dollar Bill Cinema is showing Pee Wee’s Big Adventure at Cal Anderson Park (7/27), and the Seattle Center’s Movies at the Mural program plays The Princess Bride (7/28). Now that’s “twoo wuv.” For our detailed list of local outdoor movie venues, go to seattlemag.com and search “outdoor cinema.”
