It’s fitting that Seattle Opera’s production of German composer Beethoven’s only operatic work stars a German soprano. Christiane Libor makes her Seattle Opera debut as Leonore, a woman who poses as a male prison guard to save her wrongly imprisoned husband. If you prefer to go locavore with your opera intake, catch the October 14 performance, in which former Seattle Opera Young Artist Marcy Stonikas plays the lead.
