Word has it that after the demise of Gourmet magazine last year, their Gourmet Today cookbook sales spiked. And for good reason–the national mag has been leaving foodies satisfied since 1941. Want a chance to mourn/celebrate? Seattle’s famed Chef in the Hat, Thierry Rautureau of Rover’s (the mag dubbed them “One of America’s Top Tables” by the way) will dedicate a 5-course bistro menu to Gourmet recipes (now through February 13). The $55 menu will include dishes such as Dungeness Crab Salad with Cabbage, Carrot and Parsnip Chowder and Broiled Squab. A wine pairing for the menu will be $40. For a limited time only help bid the publication farewell. (See the full menu here.)
