3/14–3/18 Celebrate St. Paddy’s Day at Kells Irish Pub in Post Alley, where gingers toast to dear old Ireland with live music from the old country—and quite a few pints o’ Guinness as well.


3/15, 12:30 p.m. Don your finest green-and-white wares for the 2014 St. Patrick's Day Parade. Starting at Fourth Avenue at Jefferson Street, the celebratory spectacle winds its way through downtown, including Westlake Park, and makes its final stop at the Seattle Center at 2 p.m.

3/15 to 3/16 Prepare to dance a jig or two at the Seattle Center Armory's gratis Irish Festival, where you'll find Irish step dancing, live music, contemporary Irish short films and even genealogy workshops in which to trace your roots.

3/17 G-rated fun abounds at the St. Patrick’s Day Celebration at the Seattle Children’s Museum. Expect art (gaelic pasta necklace-making!), music, dance and a St. Patrick's Day-themed story time.

3/16, 8:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. Before you dive headfirst into your green brews and Irish fare, opt for a good old-fashioned calorie burn at this year's St. Patrick's Day Dash, a four-mile jaunt around the Seattle Center that benefits local nonprofits, including the Seattle Children's Autism Center.

3/16, 6 p.m. The Volunteer Park Cafe is serving up an Irish feast, featuring eats fit for St. Paddy's Day such as Irish soda bread and butter, cabbage salad, lamb shepherd’s pie, stout-glazed corned beef and a house-made Bailey's chocolate ice cream. 3/14-3/17 The luck 'o the Irish happens all weekend, morning to the wee hours of the next morning, over in Alki Beach. The Celtic Swell Irish Pub and Restaurant hosts its 2014 St. Paddy's Weekend Festival, featuring a slew of events, an Irish brunch and plenty of pints. 3/20, 4 to 8 p.m. The Tasty Vacation's Third Thursday Wine-Beer-Spirit Walks in the Warehouse District series gives you access to a multitude of Woodinville wineries, breweries and distilleries for a flat rate of $20 ($25 same-day fee). This month, the theme is--natch--St. Patrick's Day in the Warehouse. BYO glass (or purchase one for $5) and taste from a variety of Warehouse District haunts, including Project V Distillery & Sausage Co., Elevation Cellars, Piccola Cellars and Dirty Bucket Brewery. Should you get hungry, the Barking Frog mobile food truck will be dishing out delish bites.
