Tacoma

Museums, a gorgeous waterfront and good eats galore: Head south to Tacoma for a quick weekend getaway

I’ve waxed poetic about Tacoma’s charm before. Now, Seattle restaurateurs are starting to catch on.

You may have visited Tacoma to take in the acclaimed Museum of Glass, or to spend a sunny afternoon at Point Defiance Park. But there are other reasons to make the trek south.

Cars may have lost some street cred among bikers, environmentalists and anyone tired of pouring her paycheck into the gas tank, but a new museum in Tacoma is here to remind us of the glory days, when we could rev up and roll down

Stumbled across this new music video from Tacoma folk/soul band, Elk and Boar, the music project of Kirsten Wenlock (aka Elk) and Travis Barker (aka Boar). You may remember them from this year's Doe Bay Festival.

Talk about ambitious art projects. Glimmering Gone, at Tacoma’s Museum of Glass, pairs two esteemed artists working on different continents.
