When you need a doctor—whether for a routine physical or because of a medical scare—where do you go? Soliciting recommendations from friends and family (possibly even on Nextdoor) is one way to do it. After all, a personal referral counts for a lot. But we’ve taken the referral idea to the next level: For the past 20 years, we’ve published an annual list of the region’s top doctors, whose names appear on this list not because these physicians paid to be included, or because they were chosen by our editorial staff, but because they were nominated by their peers. Having a doctor who instills confidence and trust may be just one measure in striving for whole-body wellness, but it’s perhaps the most important one. Let this list serve as a guide in bringing you one step closer to this year’s health goals.
Note: Doctors do not and cannot pay to be selected as a Top Doctor. To learn how doctors are selected, read our methodology.
