Get ready, all you diehard athletes, sports fans and Seattleites who are just in the mood to be active and have fun: This July, TruAthlete, a company that hosts organized sporting events for the everyday Joe and Jane, is taking over Starfire Sports Complex in Tukwila with its first tri-sport event. Dozens of creatively titled co-ed teams (The Abusement Park, 2 Legit 2 Quit to name a few) in two divisions will compete head-to-head in volleyball, soccer and flag football until only one team is victorious.

Register your co-ed teams of seven to 10 here. And select the division in which you’ll compete. (Division one is definitely for the hard-core competitive group while division two is more for the recreational sports lovers who tend to visit the beer garden once or twice between games.) You can also sign up individually. The team that outlasts everyone else is crowned the ultimate TruAthlete.

Should you prefer to be among the roaring crowd rather than out on the field, opt for general admission where you can watch the games in the 4,000-seat stadium, hang out at the beer garden or listen to some of Northwest singer Carson Henley’s live music. Bring the kids along, too, since it’s a family-friendly atmosphere. With sun, sports, beer and music, no one is left out. Register up until July 18th at thetruathlete.com, but note: the sooner you sign up, the cheaper it is!

July 27—all day. Starfire Sports Complex, 14800 Starfire Way, Tukwila; thetruathlete.com.
