Two Cool Early November Events at West Elm in South Lake Union
Aside from just about everything they carry, one of the best things about West Elm is how they partner with interesting local talent for fun in-store events. And in the next few weeks, just in time for burgeoning thoughts of holiday gift giving, they’re hosting two fun-sounding events that should not be missed.
On November 6 from 5 to 7 p.m., Trophy Cupcake queen Jennifer Shea will be setting up her sweet treats, complimentary bubbly and tons of party inspiration courtesy of her new book Trophy Cupcakes & Parties!. She’ll be bringing her creative posse, which includes Hank & Hunt blogger Jenny Batt, Scout’s Jenn Elliott Blake, artist and photographer Julia Manchik and photographer Rina Jordan. Snack, sip, soak in all the creativity and enjoy mini-DIY sessions on how to throw the perfect party. RSVP to firstname.lastname@example.org so they know to expect you.
And on November 9, blogger Melissa Michaels of The Inspired Room is hosting an Etsy pop-up shop with 12 Seattle-based crafters and makers and featuring their wares. This mini craft show takes place from 1 to 6 p.m., with the sellers set up around the store selling their wares. Click on over here for a complete list, but we’re most excited to sniff and sample the vegan body care products from Herbivore Botanicals, whose packaging is most excellent.
