!–paging_filter–pThey said they were opening next Tuesday./p
pBut, in a twist (who doesn’t love a twist?), strongWestward and Little Gull Grocery, the north Lake Union waterfront seafood-centric, boat-up spots a href=”http://\/\/seattlemag.com/8-noteworthy-summer-restaurant-openings” target=”_blank”we’ve been waiting emall summer /emfor/a, are open!/strong Right now. For lunch and dinner. And the in-between hours (11am til 10pm, or 11pm on weekends). strongnbsp;/strong/p
pstrongJust in time for Labor Day weekend /strongand what we’re praying will be a typically spectacular stretch of Indian summer here in Seattle. See those chairs up there with that view? It’s going to be 80 degrees this weekend. You can catch plenty of rays and drink plenty of a href=”http://\/\/seattlemag.com/sneak-peek-westwards-scratch-cocktail-and-drink-list” target=”_blank”Micheladas /ain one of them if you wanna.nbsp;/p
pstrongChef Zoi Antonitsas’s Greek roots /strongshow in much of the menu: there’s fried squid with skorthalia (aka skordalia, a garlicky spread usually made with nuts and bread), a whole wood-roasted fish with fennel pollen and avgolemono sauce, and the lamb shoulder with tzatziki sauce and pita./p
pAlso to eat: beer pickled peel-and-eat shrimp; strongsmoked manila clam dip/strong; house gravlax with papadam, beets and lebneh; and oysters!/p
pPlus, if you’re boating this weekend, a limited takeout menu is available from Little Gull Grocery (attached to Westward) including a crazy-sounding (in a good way) strongfried oyster and fried pickle roll/strong, clam dip, and a lamb burger. strongJust park on the dock and walk on up. /strong/p
pThe long weekend starts now, right?/p
