Your Daily Decor Squee: The MissoniHome Annual Sale

Come October 14, we’ll be making a mad dash to Roche Bobois, the super luxe French furniture haven on Western Avenue, for the annual MissoniHome sale. (Last March, the Puget Sound Business Journal reported that RB has plans to relocate its showroom to the base of the Escala building. Stay tuned for more on that.)

MissoniHome is the deluxe and oh so divine decor offshoot that Rosita Missoni–co-founder of the eponymous Italian fashion house–launched in 2004. “I realized I had a knack for interior design when I was a child. My favorite game was to create a house or living room in the heath forest of my village, Golasecca,” Ms. Missoni told the Wall Street Journal in a 2011 interview.

Her piece of advice: “If you’re going to invest in one big piece for the home, it should be an extremely comfortable, well-designed couch; a huge mirror; or a funny-shaped, colorful rug to light up a forgotten corner.”

Naturally, we agree. During the sale, which runs October 14-25 at Roche Bobois, you can score 15 percent off MissoniHome’s pillows, poufs, rugs, furnishings and more (though we’re told candles and umbrellas are not among the discounted mix), all decked out in the frenzy of colorful patterns that make Missoni so remarkable.
