Amanda Manitach

Appropriating text from various sources and placing them on large-scale, colorful paint-on-paper work, City Arts visual arts editor and recent Seattle Art Fair exhibitor Amanda Manitach draws you in with a soothing color palette before the works’ words jump out and slap you in the face. The verbiage doubles as titles for her pieces, too, like: “Such a Nasty Woman” and “Britney Survived 2007 You Can Handle Today.”

Opening reception November 15, 6–8 p.m.; other times vary.
