Brunch Run 2016

Seattle is all about good food and delicious drinks so grab a friend and run, walk, or stroll the most beautiful 5K in Seattle on Saturday, April 2! Then join your fellow race participants as they sample brunch bites from some of Seattle’s top restaurants and relax in the Seattle Magazine beer garden.

Each participant in Seattle magazine’s Brunch Run will receive a Brunch Run t-shirt, Brunch Bites and 3 tickets for the beer garden.

Race Course

Magnuson Park offers stunning views of Lake Washington. Our 5k (3.1mi) course is paved and flat, perfect for runners, walkers, strollers or your four legged friends!

Location:  Magnuson Park - Start/Finish A


Race Day

7:30am: Registration & packet pick up open (complimentary gear check available until 12:00pm)

9:10am: Walk to start

9:20am: Pre-race warm up

9:30am: Race start

9:45am- 12:00pm: Post Race Bash

     - Beer Garden

     - Race swag from some great vendors

10:15am: Awards ceremony

12:00pm: Event concludes



From Interstate 5 you can exit at either N.E. 45th Street (Exit #169) or N.E. 65th Street (Exit #171).

From the N.E. 45th Street exit, go east on 45th, past the University of Washington, and down the 45th Street ramp. Continue east past University Village Shopping Center. Bear left and continue about 2 miles. You will pass Seattle Children’s Hospital and Sand Point Village/Princeton Avenue.

From the I-5 N.E. 65th Street exit, head east approximately four miles on 65th (stay on the arterial!) until you have crossed Sand Point Way N.E. into the N.E. 65th Street entrance to Warren G. Magnuson Park.

From State Route 520 (SR520):

  • ***Please note 520 will be closed on April 2nd and will delay traffic on Mountlake Blvd***

From Interstate 90 (I-90):

  • Take Interstate 5 north about and continue about 4.5 miles to Exit #169, NE 45th Street.
  • At the stoplight, turn right onto NE 45th Street and continue east about 1.5 miles, passing the University of Washington campus and heading down a steep hill.
  • At the bottom of the hill, turn left at the stoplight and continue east on NE 45th Street.
  • NE 45th Street will bear left and become Sand Point Way NE.
  • Continue on Sand Point Way NE about 2 miles, you will pass Children’s Hospital and Regional Medical Center and Sand Point Village/Princeton Avenue.

April 2, 2016 – 7:30 a.m. check-in opens.  9:30 a.m. race start time


Magnuson Park - start and finish near play area and parking lot W6 on the North side of Magnuson Park. Run will continue around the fields, along the water and then back through kite hill.

Grab your friends and join Seattle magazine as we celebrate Seattle with a 5k walk/run through one of the most iconic parks in the city. Then sample brunch bites from some of Seattle’s top restaurants. And what brunch would be complete without a delicious selection of Bloody Marys and a mimosa Bar!

1,000 athletic, hungry, pet loving Seattlites who want to get some exercise and then enjoy the morning with some mouthwatering brunch bites, mimosas, and Bloody Marys.


First aid is available at the race, as well as one water station along the race course


Our run is dog-friendly, so bring along your waggin' friends!


Every runner will receive a timing chip on their bib so that you can time your pace if desired. Results will be released within 24 hours of the event
