Mioposto Caffé e Pizzeria (Mount Baker, 3601 S McClellan St.; 206.760.3400; seattle-eats.com/mioposto) is a regular stop for me since I live in the neighborhood. At night, the place fills up with parents treating their kids to the chewy, wood-fired Neapolitan pizza. In the morning, muffins and lattes satisfy the takeout crowd and the stroller pushers heading to the park across the street. But sit and stay awhile and you’ll get a chance to kick off the day with the sensational BACON & EGG breakfast pizza ($7.25), a beauty topped with pancetta, mozzarella, seasoned bread crumbs, a sinus-clearing chile purée and two perfect over-easy eggs that ooze their yummy yolks all over the place when you eat it. There’s just one thing: The staff here takes its time. Be sure to pad your visit with an extra half-hour, or call ahead for curbside pickup (even if you’re on foot). The breakfast pizza is available until 11 a.m.
