Beat the blues by picking some of your own at one of the many blueberry farms within a peach stone’s throw of Seattle. July is peak season, and many of the berries are organic, so you’ll be able to eat copious amounts of them right out of your baskets on the way home. No one will tell you to wipe that silly blue grin off your face—they’ll be too busy wondering how they can get one of their own. Times and prices vary.
Visit seattlemag.com/upickblueberries for our comprehensive list of local “u-pick” farms.
