OMG!!! It’s time to freak the hell out, Seattle. Ticket information for Hamilton’s Seattle run at the Paramount Theatre has been announced. And it sounds like it’s a bit of a process.

Given the after-market frenzy around events as hot as the hip-hop theater masterpiece, Ticketmaster is hoping to thwart the bots and opportunistic scalpers by requiring fans to register for a chance to buy tickets with a Ticketmaster account. Each person can only register once, hopefully levelling the playing field a bit.

Registration through Ticketmaster Verified Fan is now open and ends at 10 a.m. Nov. 2. Once Ticketmaster determines you are not a nefarious scalper robot, you will get an email from the ticket broker on Nov. 5 confirming that you’ve been verified. Lucky fans will then receive a text message two to four hours before tickets officially go on sale 9 a.m. Nov. 6 letting them know they’ve been selected for the chance to purchase tickets. A limited number of tickets will be available at the Paramount Theatre box office at 10 a.m. Nov. 6.

The acclaimed musical that became a full-on phenomenon the last two years will be in town from Feb. 6 through March 18.

Here are details straight from the press release, hot off the digital presses:

The ticket sale process will use Ticketmaster Verified Fan®.  Those interested in purchasing tickets will register on the Verified Fan site.  Registration begins today, Friday, October 27 and will close November 2 at 10AM. Patrons will visit http://hamiltonsea.tmverifiedfan.com to register. The Ticketmaster Verified Fan® on sale will be available for purchases online only.

PLEASE NOTE:  Do not register more than once. This system is being used to avert the sale of tickets to bots and scalpers and as such the registration list will be closely evaluated.

Verified fans will be notified by Ticketmaster via email on Sunday, November 5 if they have been selected for the Verified Fan on sale.  Then on the morning of Monday, November 6, (2-4 hours before the on-sale begins) selected registrants will receive text messages with a link and then a unique passcode to purchase tickets.

Registering does NOT guarantee you will be verified, receive a code or have the ability to purchase Verified Fan tickets.

It continues…

There is a maximum purchase limit of four (4) tickets per household for the engagement. Tickets range from $69-$179, with a select number of $569 premium seats available. There will be a lottery for forty (40) $10 Orchestra seats for all performances. Details will be announced closer to the engagement.
