Txori Becomes Pintxo Tomorrow, More Food News

Tapas lovers rejoice: Txori reopens tomorrow as Pintxo, with many of your Basque favorites still on

Late last month, Carolyn Messier closed her young (just 2 years old) but beloved tapas bar, Txori, in order to concentrate her energies on Madison Valley’s perennially adored Harvest Vine.

But fret not, tapas lovers. Belltown locals C.J. Chaney and Corey Chigbrow will reopen the space as Pintxo (pronounced PEEN-cho) tomorrow, May 6th, with a nearly identical menu of affordable, bite-size Spanish snacks, often served on slices of bread (and called pintxos). Dinner will be served nightly from 5 p.m.

Also: Fans of French chef Laurent Gabrel, owner of Madison Valley’s Voila!, can look forward to the opening of Chloe Bistrot. Gabrel will open this seafood-centric French bistro (where, he promises, price-points will top off at $20) in the former Enotria space in Laurelhurst this summer.
