The Crucible

The themes of arthur miller’s classic 1953 play, a thinly veiled critique of Joseph McCarthy’s Communist “witch hunts” of the late 1940s and ’50s, are timeless, whether applied to tactics used during the Red Scare or today’s “alternative facts” political climate. The John Langs-directed cast includes 2017 ACT core company members Khanh Doan, Anne Allgood and Ray Tagavilla, as well as former ACT artistic director Kurt Beattie and his wife, actor Marianne Owen.
