Masins (Bellevue, 10708 Main St.; 425.450.9999) has been decorating homes in the Pacific Northwest since 1927. Today, this decidedly up-market and sophisticated store is filled with designs from Stickley to Kravet, and a staff of accredited interior designers to guide you through the process. Current crush: a dining table with a stained cobalt blue top from Century ($6,900), protected by a DuraShield finish, rendering it resistant to all of life’s little nicks and scrapes. Insider tip: Masins’ Memorial Day sale is the time to go to save big on those big-ticket items.

Launched as a small upholstery and design business in 1976, Henredon Schoener (Bellevue, 700 Bellevue Way NE, Suite 220; 425.454.9000) moved to Lincoln Square in The Bellevue Collection in 2006, adding luxury furniture, lighting and accessories to its offerings, which includes a full range of design services, from drawing up blueprints to hanging art. Find items from the likes of Ralph Lauren (the Brook Street tufted sofa, from $12,435, is a customer favorite) and Aerin Lauder, whose pine desk ($5,954) captures the store’s flair for fine, functional statement pieces.

Craft Value: The Founder of Henrybuilt Reflects on What He’s Learned in 25 Years of Business

In 2001, after 15 years of working in publishing—where I was a founding team member of two venture-funded technology companies—I decided to start a different kind of company: one that made physical products.
