There are plenty of reasons to visit Como (Kirkland), the new Italian restaurant from Cantinetta owners Trevor Greenwood and Leigh Canlis Greenwood: expansive water views, northern Italian specialties like casoncelli alla Bergamasca (pasta stuffed, in Como’s version, with Dinah’s cheese and sage) and a lovely atmosphere in which to sip an Aperol spritz. But the biggest draw may be the transportation option for getting there: Como is offering seasonal boat service from Lake Union, or any water location where you’d like to be picked up (starting at $450 for up to six passengers, by reservation at hello@comoboatusa.com).

The one-way journey, which includes top-shelf drinks and shoreline sightseeing in a mahogany Riva motorboat, generally takes about an hour. (Participants are transported back to Seattle by car.) It’s a luxurious experience, but not a pretentious one, says Canlis Greenwood. “We’ve had [guests wear] everything from boat shoes to Manolo Blahniks!”
