There’s a lot to love in Seattle-based interior designer Brian Paquette’s contemporary new Capitol Hill shop, Brian Paquette Interiors, from neutral fabrics to decorative pieces, textiles to tabletops.

Much of what the talented designer stocks comes from local artists and fellow designers, but we’re most excited about his recent collaboration with local ceramist Natasha Alphonse, whose saltcellars, cups, bowls and other dinnerware can be found in the shop.

Paquette worked with Alphonse to design wares that reflect the look and feel of the Pacific Northwest—glazes of deep ocean blue that, for Paquette, evoke a life spent on both coasts, plus a hand-painted cracked white glaze reminiscent of this region’s snowcapped mountains. All the pieces are fully functional, so you needn’t be afraid to put them to good use.

This company, Henrybuilt, would combine product innovation and craft under one roof and sell directly to the end user—the homeowner—so that we…
