Zhi Lin: In Search of the Lost History of Chinese Migrants and the Transcontinental Railroads

While in Tacoma (see "Blast from the Past"), take a trip further back in time to the Tacoma Art Museum’s exhibit by Seattle artist and University of Washington professor Zhi Lin. This powerful installation of watercolor sketches, Chinese paper paintings, photographs and historical studies documents the overlooked history of the Chinese laborers who helped connect the nation’s coast-to-coast rail system.
