It’s 2015. You’re back in the office. Here’s what’s happening now around town.
Weather: Severe windy and rainy conditions have done a number on the Puget Sound region last night and this morning, including causing school closings, mud slides and power outages. The National Weather Service has issued a flood watch for parts of Western Washington. For live updates on the storm, check Kiro 7 News.
Capitol Hill sure looks different than it did even just a year ago. As buildings are strangely stripped down to their facades and new developments take root, more locals fear the neighborhood is losing its edge. According to the Puget Sound Business Journal, we ain’t seen nothin’ yet.
As for all that change, Kiro Radio’s Jason Rantz of the Jason Rantz Show thinks we should embrace it. He postulates: “But things change all the time. And I’d argue you need change. The pain you feel by a neighborhood changing is short-lived and even a little selfish, if you think about it.” Excellent points. What do you think?
Here come the Carolina Panthers: Our Seahawks will take on Cam Newton and his 4-seed Panthers in the NFC divisional round on Saturday, January 10 at CenturyLink Field. KOMO News reports that the Seahawks have opened as an 11-point favorite.
